Deposits and Payment:
We require a non-refundable booking deposit at the time of setting an appointment which will be credited toward your service. Payment will be collected via Stripe using your debit or credit card. Please let us know if you have any issues or need to use a different platform.
If you are booking a mobile/in person notarization, we will send you an estimate that includes the travel fees and any other necessities after you submit your deposit. You will need to respond your acceptance of the estimate for your appointment to be confirmed.
After our appointment we will collect the remainder of the payment owed.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:
1. Cancellation Timeframes & Refund Eligibility
- Full Refund (100%): Available if cancellation is made at least 24 hours before the scheduled booking time.
- Booking Deposit: No refunds are available for the online booking deposit if appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours before appointment time or with no prior notice (EG: no shows.)
- Unable To Notarize Documents: If the notary is unable to proceed with the notarization through no fault of their own. Washington notaries have the right to refuse a notarization for the following reasons:
-the signer does not have valid or acceptable IDs or the notary is not convinced the person mentioned in the document is the person in front of them
-the document is incomplete and the signer needs guidance in how to complete it (notaries are not permitted to assist in document preparation or give advice)
-the document has no notarial language (place for the notary to sign and stamp) and needs a loose certificate and the signer does not know which type is needed (we can provide certificates but cannot choose the type for you)
-we are not convinced the signer fully understands the document or is signing of their own volition
-there is any suspicion of fraud
-witnesses are required but none are available
-the document is not permitted to be notarized by Washington State law - Notary Cancellation: If the notary needs to cancel the appointment, the customer may request a full refund if not selecting a rescheduled date.
2. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method; processing times may vary by bank/payment provider.
3. How to Cancel or Modify a Booking
- Online: Log in to your booking via the provided email, then you can cancel/modify the booking as needed.
- Email: Send a cancellation request to [[email protected]] with your booking details (name, order #, date).
- Cutoff Time: The 24-hour window is based on the local time zone (PST) of the booked service.
4. Exceptions (Case-by-Case Refunds)
Refunds may be granted for:
- Medical emergencies: (with valid documentation, e.g., doctor’s note).
- Extreme weather/natural disasters: impacting service delivery.
- Provider cancellation: Full refund or rescheduling offered.
5. Disputes & Customer Support
- For disputes or urgent requests, contact [[email protected]] within 48 hours of the booking time.
- We reserve the right to refuse service to clients who repeatedly cancel last-minute.
Identification Documents
To ensure accurate identification of each client or witness, valid identification documents must be provided. Acceptable forms of ID include: a DMV-issued ID card or driver’s license, a U.S. passport or passport card, a foreign passport officially recognized by the U.S., a U.S. military ID, a Tribal ID card, or any government-issued document that includes the individual’s photograph and signature, as well as corrections ID.
We are never permitted to notarize documents by someone over the phone or for someone who previously signed a document. The signer must always be present in the same room as the notary.
Acceptable ID documents
The documents must:
- Be current or expired for less than 3 years
- Be issued by a federal or state government
- Contain the individual’s photograph, signature, and physical description
A single form of valid ID is acceptable for notarization in most cases. However, there may be cases where multiple forms of identity verification are needed, especially if there are discrepancies between the names on the document and the IDs.

Things We are Unable to Do:
As Washington State Notaries, we are not permitted to do the following:
- Give legal advice
- Fill out documents
- Make copy certifications of vital records (such as birth certificates or marriage licenses,) recordable documents that may be filed with an official agency, or immigration documents
- Make copy certifications of documents we did not copy ourselves
- Notarize documents that are blank or left incomplete
- Notarize documents in another language
- Notarize documents for anyone not present
- Pre-date or Post-date documents, except under certain circumstances
- Notarize signatures that are faxed or photocopied
- Notarize certain immigration documents
- Notarize documents for someone that we believe is incapacitated to the point of not understanding the documents contents, or is being forced in any way to sign
- Wills may be notarized on a case by case basis, but in some states, notarizing wills makes them invalidated
- Notarize any documents that are known to be fraudulent or misleading
- Officiate weddings
