A remote online notary is a digital service that allows individuals to have their documents notarized without the need for physical presence. This service leverages advanced technology, including video conferencing, digital signatures, and identity verification tools to facilitate the notarization process securely and efficiently. BlueNotary is an approved platform in Washington State. As long as we, the notary, are physically in Washington State, we can make use of this platform for anyone nationwide.

Things to Note:

  • You will be signing the document electronically using a digital signature. Please confirm with whomever you are sending the final document to that this is acceptable for their uses.
  • Digital certificates, issued by trusted authorities, verify the authenticity of electronic documents and include encryption files like X509 to confirm a notary’s identity and prevent tampering. Notary certificates are a specific type that include the notary’s details and ensure the notarization is legally valid.
  • Your Video Call will be recorded and stored for 10 years by BlueNotary in accordance with Washington State requirements.
  • We will abide by all Washington State laws, regardless of where the document is being filed.
  • You will need a stable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone.
